DESCRIPTION
Three Graces
was a group of three girls from different vocal backgrounds (one classical, one theatre and the other one pop). Despite the evident marketing effort and slick production levels, Three Graces, who attempted to launch their career in America before anywhere else (never a good idea for classical crossover artists), have failed to take off and have been subsequently dropped. It could be that they were a bit behind the times, as Kabanuck states in their marketing video how they are 'unexpected' and want to show how they 'can change a song in a different language'; problem being classical crossover artists had been doing this for ten years before Three Graces were even created. They have a slick all-American image that, simply put, will never work outside the States. They were very pop orientated and although a lot of their material was original, they changed the language of pop songs, including Phil Collins 'Against All Odds' and Snow Patrol's 'Run'. Josh Groban fans may enjoy Three Graces, as might Il Divo fans, as this group were clearly inspired by them. There's no denying the voices and their talent, but this was approached all wrong.  The band may have done better if they simply launched themselves as a pop group. One of the members, Kelly Levesque, has since joined Diane Warren's crossover project, Due Voci.

I was so surprised when I learned they never made a second album. Their first was wonderful!
