Since Andrew Lloyd Webber cast him as Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera in the mid nineties, Mario Frangoulis has been enjoying a successful and varied career. Fluent in five languages, Frangoulis records albums in multiple tongues, but mostly concentrates on Greek releases. He has, however, released three international albums under Sony Classical that consist largely of crossover material. Although he is trained in opera, he also engages with music theatre and pop. His international albums demonstrate this; from tackling Puccini adaptations to recording songs from contemporary film composer Craig Armstrong. He incorporates his classical training with his pop performances, making his music distinctly classical but widely appealing. Russell Watson fans will find him comfortably familiar.

Mario in concert in Washington, DC in June, 2013. Thanks to the person who posted this on YouTube. It's 14 minutes of portions of the songs Mario sand, with song titles. It's well edited and has good audio.

Mario's concert was on my PBS station tonight. The number one reason to buy the DVD from PBS is to be able to see the entire DVD. They cut 11 songs from the album 'Beautiful Things' in order to make time for their donation drive. The entire DVD is so fantastic, it's a shame to not see it in it's entirety.

Be alert. This site is selling Mario Frangoulis' tickets at twice the price and has many complaints.

You are better off with Ticketmaster.

Front Row Tickets - Masqueraded as Ticketmaster

Front row tickets is the biggest rip off. Earlier today, I thought I was calling ticketmaster and found out after I placed my ticket order that I was talking to a ticket broker with exorbitant fees. Do not use them! I went to m to check the face value of the tickets that I purchased and discovered to my great surprise that the tickets were face valued at $28. Needless to say,...

SURPRISE! Add over $30.00 to your ticket-Front Row Tickets

Front Row Tickets have the most expensive fees and most hidden service charge. You will be surprised at the cost and furthermore, you won't be allowed to immediately cancel.

March 1th through March 15th, Mario's PBS
special will begin showing in new areas of the US, especially the midwestern and southern states. Log on to your local PBS station's website on March 1st, to see the scheduled time. If a program does not generate enough revenue to the station, it will not be repeated and the station turns it's attention in other directions of entertainment. If you have the financial ability to purchase Mario's DVD, which will probably be $85.00, do so. It will help guarantee PBS will air another of Mario's concerts in the future, this is his third. It will also help keep classical crossover music featured on PBS.
