DESCRIPTION
Jennifer Thomas is an American composer, pianist, violinist and a concert performer.  She was trained by her mother (Carolyn Southworth) from an early age and went on to study music at university.  Thomas has enjoyed much success as a composer and pianist, having her work featured in films and commercials and gaining recognition from various award bodies.  2007 saw her enter the classical crossover market with her debut, Key of Sea, an album full of her own compositions and arrangements.  Her most recent album Illumination is a mixture of classical crossover material and original work - her complex, yet accessible arrangements offer the listener a truly different experience of both pop and genuine classical.  To directly compare Thomas's 'Requiem For a Dream' with Escala's 'Requiem For a Tower' (however fair or unfair that may be) demonstrates Thomas's integrity and the wide scope of her musical palette.  Thomas understands and plays not just the hook, but the story and the context surrounding it, bringing her own texture to the pieces (e.g. check out her 'New World Symphony').  For those that primarily enjoy vocalists, let Thomas introduce you to instrumental crossover as it's rarely done as well as this.

Jennifer Thomas is one of those rare Artists that can grab you emotionally and not let go untill the last note is played.Her latest album "Illumination" is a tour de force and has garnered several award nominations since it's recent release.Her creativity runs deep as she often composes her own works.Time spent listening to Jennifer's works is quality time of the highest order.
