DESCRIPTION
Escala entered the scene after they were invited to audition on the second series of Britain's Got Talent in 2008. They reached the finals but did not win, though Simon Cowell signed them anyway. Their debut album performed moderately well in the charts - although BGT audience enjoyed it, the classical crossover audience recognised it as a copy and paste from Bond's previous albums. Despite the lack of new albums, Escala are still enjoying a busy schedule; they have toured with Katherine Jenkins, performed in Vegas and Beijing. Izzy Johnston (violin) left the quartet in December 2011; the group held auditions and the new member is yet to be announced.
