DESCRIPTION
Chris Mann
spent much time as an independent artist and doing odd jobs as a session singer (including for American comedy musical show Glee) when he got the break he wanted.   He auditioned for the second series of The Voice in America, where Christina Aguilera acted as his mentor.  Although he didn't win, he was immediately signed under Ron Fair's new label (a subsidiary of Universal) and released his first full length album in 2012 to moderate success.  With model good looks and a warm expressive tone, Mann should be able to hold on to a major career.  Mann is a song writer as well as vocalist, and his debut album contains a few of his own tracks alongside what are mostly current pop covers.  The combination of Mann's passion for classical crossover and his team's pop background has ensured a refreshingly up to date repertoire that prevents him from fading into the background with countless other nondescript tenors.

Chris sang two songs at the Washington, DC Memorial Day concert. He sang 'Roads' and 'You Raise Me Up'. Very nice performance!

Chris Mann had a concert for everyone on PBS. He is a great entertainer. He and his management team have structured his appeal to pop, jazz, classical crossover and country music fans. He talks to the audience with warmth and uses the entire stage with confidence. He has learned from all the performers on PBS, Bocelli, Groban, Frangoulis, Pacheco, Bubble and some country artists. I don't think I see an international career in his future but I do think he will be very popular with American audiences.

Chris is appearing in June at a smaller venue in my home town. I'm taking a whole group with me to see his concert. I own his ROADS CD and am simply enthralled by the power, delicacy and artistry of his voice. I also LOVE that when he sings he engages his whole body in expressing a song's emotion-be it joy, romance or sadness. He truly connects with the lyric and make you 'feel' the passion.
