Artists To Be Added

*SUBMISSIONS ARE CLOSED INDEFINITELY*

This page has THREE purposes:

  • This is an easy place to suggest an artist to be added. You can also see who has already been suggested.
  • I get artist submissions in loads of different ways - e-mails, twitter, forums, personal recommendations, facebook, comments, you name it, they're there.  The problem is, I lose track so very easily.  I know I have had 100s of submissions, but they are spread out over time and different places.  This is a place where I can try to keep track (with the best will in the world, I don't often have time to update this list either, but I will try!)
  • I also want to know who you want added next the most. That does not mean this is a place where biased fans/friends/family can sweep in, spam their artists's names 20 times, then never come back to the site.  I will take suggestions from regulars more seriously than visitors.

So, all you need to do is make the suggestions in the comments below, and I will put all artists in alphabetical order on this page.  Make sure to include links.  Just because they are on this page, it doesn't mean they will get a profile; it means they are up for consideration.  If an artist has a line through them, it either means they've been added, or been suggested, but have been rejected.

Because of bandwidth and memory restrictions comments will be deleted regularly.  Do not be alarmed if your suggestion has been deleted - it has been duly noted!  If you are not a member of the website, your comment will need to be approved before it's published, so please do not enter your comment more than once.

I'm sure Lara Fabian should be listed here! She's an amazing well known singer world wide, born in Belgium started her career in Canada, then she ruled all over Europe, especially in French speaking countries. She sings in French, English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and even Russian. Her rendition of Addio del passato is awesome, and she's an awesome soprano. She surly is meant to be listed here!

I would like to add a relative unknown to the site, David- a young baritone with an extreme high crystal clear falsetto and head voice, his voice is extremely haunting and yet powerful! The young man is truly a hidden jewel among singers! His voice is in its own league!
Thank you!

I would like to see Natalia Krishtopets, added to this site, I have known Natalia for a short time but I have listened to her music more times than I can remember, watched her videos, read as much as one can read about her plus a few chat sessions, I believe Natalia would make a very fine addition to this site as her music is very beautiful, she has very nice vocals, her videos are very nicely done and overall I think Natalia is a very nice person to go with all of what I have said, so this is why I believe Natalia would make a very fine addition to this site. :-)

And would also like to suggest Mediaeval Baebes, a female ensamble group, "each album features traditional medieval songs and poetry set to music, alongside varying numbers of original compositions. They sing in a variety of languages, including Latin, Middle English, French, Italian, Cornish, etc. Their vocals are backed by medieval instruments, including the recorder and cittern, played by the singers or fellow musicians.

My faves:

Temptasyon - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlR2v7CkUOo

I find it strange that 12 Girls Band is not here. An all-female Chinese musical group that use traditional Chinese instruments to play both traditional Chinese and Western music. They are honestly mind-blowing. And those instruments!

Based on Turkish folk song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiQR0-lbSiY
Based on Andean folk song:

A bit more East Asian:

They also cover Swan Lake, Riverdance, etc, and have got very nice and relaxing oriental songs

On one of their US tours Giorgia Fumanti joined them as guest.

I think you should add soprano Fiona Jessica Wilson to the site. Her voice is crystalline and angelic. Plus the majority of her album consists of original classical-style d and ambient songs by Ben Robbins, not the typical crossover tropes.

official site: http://fionajessicawilson.com/site/

Beautiful single from album, an original award-winning composition in Latin (I think):

Natalie is an italian-canadia n classical crossover artist from Toronto, Ontario but has been doing extremely well in India.

She has been singing hindi songs in a classical crossover style and has received millions of views on youtube.

She has toured with Grammy and Oscar winning composer, "A.R.Rahman" and is presently working with "Mauro Malavasi". Mauro is the italian producer behind many of Andrea Bocelli and Luciano Pavarotti's albums.
