DESCRIPTION
Originally, Amici Forever had five members: Nick Garrett, Geoff Sewell, Jo Appleby, David Habbin, and Tsakane Valentine. By 2006, the first three had left the band, and two members instead of three were replaced with Lucy van Gasse and Bruno Santino. At their conception, they called themselves the first ever opera band and titled their debut album as such. They were a huge success on both sides of the pond. Their style seems to have been influenced by the Opera Babes, who recently had a lot of success with their version of 'One Fine Day' (an adaptation of Puccini's 'Un Bel Di'). Although it seems like common sense to compare them to Il Divo, Amici Forever actually take opera a lot more seriously, and much of their material is dedicated to performing arias rather than pop covers.
