ARTIST OVERALL RATINGS
If you are one of those crossover fans that also listens to symphonic metal bands, thinks Emma Shapplin's debut album is something sent from heaven, and thought Sarah Brightman's Symphony really "rawked", a soprano from Italy has come to answer all of your prayers. She is certainly not for people that like their sopranos dressed in white and singing sweet hymns, so avoid if All Angels tick all of your boxes. She literally gives arias the rock treatment, or vice versa, but never quite stepping into the territory that becomes too heavy for the average listener. Although it would be all too easy to fall into a gimmick trap with the image and rock arrangements, Patrizia still doesn't shy away from difficult pieces (such as Mozart's 'Queen of the Night') nor does she stray away from the lyrical meanings behind her songs. She keeps it real. Rock style.
