ARTIST OVERALL RATINGS
Samantha Link is an independent soprano and released her debut album Bring Me to Life in 2011. She can often be found collaborating with fellow classical crossover artist Bruce Anderson and is similar in style and execution. Link has a thorough understanding and knowledge of the genre, its market and its content, which leads to a well balanced album of both well known crossover hits and digging into the depths of obscurity to record some hidden gems. Link's debut album is an epitome of the genre in its current form and is therefore an excellent choice for someone just starting out on their classical crossover journey. Her voice is able and compelling, seamlessly joining the realms of classical and musical theatre and reminding one of an early Sarah Brightman in her Andrew Lloyd Webber days. She's accessible and varied, and whilst she does not possess the resources to give something new there's still a great sense of identity and certainty in her music.
