DESCRIPTION
Raven is a string quartet with a difference. Whilst many other quartets will follow the trend that Vanessa-Mae and Bond created to infuse their strings with drum machines and techno beats, you will catch Raven doing no such thing. Raven takes their classical music seriously, and it shows through their performances and arrangements. The girls are exceptionally talented on their instruments and do not introduce any gimmicks to make their music more accessible. Rather, they arrange popular material (such as Morricone's 'Gabriel's Oboe' and Ravel's 'Bolero') and are gifted with stage presence. Raven are the most classical orientated string-quartet you will find on the crossover circuit. They can be seen accompanying Hayley Westenra and All Angels on their tours.
