DESCRIPTION
Vittorio Grigolo is an Italian opera singer that has been appearing in operas since he was thirteen. Grigolo released his first crossover album in 2006 to great success, reaching the top of the UK Classical Chart, and even charted well in America's Classical Crossover Billboard chart (a feat only normally reserved for Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, Sarah Brightman, Il Divo and Bond). Although Grigolo primarily works in opera, he has been making welcome returns back to the CC market with follow up albums The Italian Tenor and Arrivederci alongside his opera work. Grigolo's material is mostly typical of any classical crossover artist, but he does cover some unexpected songs, most notably Keane's 'Bedshaped'. He also did a collaboration album with Hayley Westenra to celebrate the 50th anniversary of West Side Story. Vocally, Grigolo has a lot in common with Cortes, Jon Christos, and Mario Frangoulis.

his story is really inspiring - crossover singer to opera singer at the Met! I think this goes to show crossover singers can and should demand high standards of themselves vocally

We have waited 6 years for another classical crossover album from Vittorio. I loved his first album. His voice has changed a bit due to all the operatic performances. It has gotten even better.
