DESCRIPTION
Fiery haired Sara Kempe is a young soprano from Wales (where else?) signed to EMI with a debut album, Let Me Fly, due for release on 28th March. She has already had experience; she toured with Aled Jones in 2010 and featured on the Classical Relief for Haiti charity single 'The Prayer'. Like the albums from EMI's young alumni; Amy Nuttall, Becky Jane Taylor and Keedie, Kempe's first record offers up fresh and surprising covers like Madonna's 'Frozen' and Keane's 'Bedshaped' alongside a few originals. She concentrates on singing light renditions of various pop songs but gives the odd nod to standards such as Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Pie Jesu' and Sting's 'Fields of Gold'. Her voice is soft and light and will inspire admiration from Elizabeth Marvelly fans.
